One of the oldest amusement parks in America is making a splash this summer with its record-breaking new ride.

Seabreeze Amusement Park, located in Rochester, N.Y., launched an all-new waterslide this summer called Reef Runners, which is officially the first dueling family waterslide in the Northeast. The ride stands over 50 feet tall and features over 1,000 feet of slide, per the park’s official website.

It’s bringing a one-of-a-kind experience to thrill-seekers with two daring slides that allow guests to race down on a figure-eight inner tube.

As riders “launch in two pairs, racing through twists, turns, and drops,” they also encounter “three rally points” before getting to the finish line. These include “a high-speed Saucer, a high-G spiral Hive, and new enclosed slide features, making it the first attraction of its kind in the Northeast,” the park adds.

Additionally, the ride features “shell-like elements” for an immersive experience, and guests can choose either single or double inner tubes during their race.

Riders will also get to feel even more thrills as they make their way through open-air and covered slide sections, along with quick drops and high-speed corners.

The park began construction on the record-breaking ride in September 2025 and worked with ProSlide Technology to bring it to life, per its official Instagram account. After nine months of construction, the ride made its official debut at the end of June, just in time for guests to enjoy it to the fullest this summer.

Reef Runners is also the park’s “largest single investment” in its 146-year history, according to a press release shared with PEOPLE.

The Jack Rabbit ride at Seabreeze, built in 1920, is currently recognized as the oldest operating roller coaster in America.
