At Sundance Film Festival, The Gallerist premiere attracted a particularly star-studded guest list. And it makes sense, given the dark comedy thriller’s impressive cast and gripping, satirical storyline (where a gallerist attempts to sell a dead body at Art Basel Miami). Still, few red carpets catch Natalie Portman, Charli XCX, and Jenna Ortega, and yesterday, the co-stars brought out their best sartorial moments for the occasion.

For Ortega, the event called for a tan-and-brown Mugler look from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, composed of a button-down dress shirt and drop-waist midi skirt. On the top, satin shoulders and accent sleeves created a bolero effect, in colors that matched the garter belt fastened across her waist. The detail, tucked into the skirt below, created a lingerie-meets-business feel that proved the style doesn’t have to stay in the bedroom.
Next to her, Portman showed her support for the #BeGood campaign with her “ICE Out” button, and XCX went for a lace-trimmed PVC rain coat by Simon Carle.

The Wednesday actor wasn’t the only star dipping into Mugler’s recent collection this month. Just a week and a half ago, Teyana Taylor slipped into a similar silhouette from the same runway—joining Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in a metallic dress with padded hips and a silver belt. Elsewhere, Renate Reinsve celebrated at the Neon Golden Globes party in a color-blocked piece of her own: a brown-tan-and-beige number with the same hip pads and belt detail.
Each actor put her own spin on their ensemble, and for Ortega, this meant classic nude heels and sparkling silver jewelry. Her signature bleached eyebrows matched the fit, and her long brown hair created a dynamic contrast for a truly striking look.
