Jennifer Garner shared the surprising nickname her kids call her in an interview with Elle on July 17.

“My kids call me ‘The Crone,’ and it cracks me up,” she said.

The actress added, “I’ll hear them talking about me, and they’ll be like, ‘Where’s the crone?’ And they’ll be like, ‘Oh, the crone sits!’”

Jennifer Garner and Chloë Sevigny shared a sweet motherhood moment during a joint “Ask Me Anything” interview with Elle on July 17—and Garner shared the surprising nickname her kids call her.

When asked what her kids tease her about, Garner, 54, said, “My kids call me ‘The Crone,’ and it cracks me up. I’ll hear them talking about me, and they’ll be like, ‘Where’s the crone?’ And they’ll be like, ‘Oh, the crone sits!’”

When Sevigny, 51, asked where the eccentric nickname came from, Garner admitted she had no idea.

“I just think when kids make fun of parents together, and they’re bonded in it, or when kids make fun of you with love...Because I have teenagers, so if they had done that at your son’s age, I would’ve been like, ‘Excuse me?’”

The Five-Star Weekend actress then said she loves the nickname: “Being called ‘The Crone’ is really one of my favorite things,” Garner said.

Sevigny then responded, “Well, if it annoys you, then it’s only gonna get a lot worse, right? If you feed into it.”

Garner shares her three children—Samuel, 14, Fin, 17, and Violet, 20—with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. Sevigny, meanwhile, has a 6-year-old son named Vanja, whom she shares with her husband, Siniša Mačković.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Five-Star Weekend co-stars discussed fashion and the ‘90s trend they’d like to see make a comeback.

“I don't remember one fashion trend from another,” Garner said, to which Sevigny responded, “Was there something like on Alias you really liked?”

“Okay. I wore really great suits. I don't think that was a trend,” Garner said.

Sevigny pushed back a bit and made the case for the '90s pantsuit.

“There was something about a '90s pantsuit that really hasn't come back," she said. "I feel like there was like a powersuit-y thing, like Helmut Lang [and] Theory.”

Garner replied, “I started in Theory, and as the show became more successful, then I moved to Dolce & Gabbana.”

The conversation about suits then reminded Sevigny about a recent outfit she wore.

“I actually wore a suit on a show the other day, and there was some coverage, and some publication was saying how it might be seen as frumpy or dowdy. I was like, ‘Excuse me? This is Vivienne Westwood.’”

“Let’s show some respect,” Garner joked.
