Kate Middleton treated Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to a quietly low-key family outing just days before Christmas.
According to reports, the Princess of Wales, 43, took her daughter Charlotte, 10, and youngest son Louis, 10, to a matinee performance of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular on Dec. 23 in Norfolk.
Norfolk is home to Sandringham Estate, where the royal family stepped out on Christmas Day — as well as Princess Kate and Prince William country home, Anmer Hall.
The Thursford Christmas Spectacular touts itself as "an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humor and variety" with a cast of 130. Show host Lloyd Hollett shared what it was like to welcome Princess Kate and two of her children.

"What a day… Today, we were honored by the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, alongside Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who attended our matinee performance," Hollett wrote on his Instagram Stories over a photo of the empty theater, in a screenshot shared by Hello! magazine.
"Seeing them in the Royal Box enjoying our show was truly a career highlight. We’re definitely going out on a high, with our final performance now underway," the comedian continued.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also parents to son Prince George, 12, who has skipped a similar event with his mother and siblings in the past. Earlier this month, George joined his father, Prince William, to help prepare the annual holiday lunch at The Passage, a charity supporting people experiencing homelessness. The Prince of Wales, 43, introduced his son to the organization — which palace sources say holds deep personal meaning for William, who was taken there by his late mother, Princess Diana, as a child. Those early visits helped shape William’s long-standing commitment to the cause, now a cornerstone of his public work.
In December 2023, Princess Kate brought Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for a special visit to the set of Strictly Come Dancing, which is the British equivalent of Dancing with the Stars.

At the time, The Sun reported that Charlotte and Louis got to meet hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, sat in the judges’ seats and held paddles with scores after a performance by some of the professional dancers on the show.
Head judge Shirley Ballas later said both Charlotte and Louis were given crowns and described the royal children as excellent guests.
"They’re beautifully polite children. They had an absolute ball," she told The Sun in 2024.
