Mackenzie Shirilla, who was convicted of murdering her boyfriend and a friend in 2023, said that she wanted reality star Kim Kardashian to be her lawyer, in an undated jail phone log.
"Well maybe Kim Kardashian's seen," Shirilla said in the conversation, which was obtained by PEOPLE.
Speaking from the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center in Ohio, Shirilla and the other person, who's not identified, talk about media coverage of the case.

Kardashian has pursued a legal career for years, while working on projects such as *The Kardashians*. She reported in 2022 that she had passed the so-called baby bar, she hasn't yet passed the full bar exam.
"Yeah, maybe Kim will, now that it's, like, all over," the other person tells Shirilla. "I was like, I mean, that's the only thing that might be good about the whole media thing. Maybe Kim will see it."
The magazine reports that the speakers specifically call out an interview that the deceased boyfriend's father did with *The Daily Mail*.

At one point, Shirilla said flat-out, "I want Kim Kardashian to be my lawyer."
The two mention Kardashian's previous work on legal cases, on behalf of people she believes are innocent.
Shirilla specifically mentioned the *Keeping Up With the Kardashian* alum's shapewear brand.

"Tell her I buy all her SKIMS and I only wear SKIMS," Shirilla said.
Shirilla is currently serving two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life at the Ohio Reformatory for Women, after having been convicted in August 2023 of charges including aggravated vehicular homicide and murder in the deaths of her boyfriend, 20-year-old Dominic Russo, and their friend, Davion Flanagan.
While prosecutors alleged that she purposely drove her car into a brick wall at excessive speed, Shirilla said in a new Netflix documentary on the case, *The Crash*, that "there was no intent whatsoever there."
