Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce gave a glimpse at their long-distance relationship during the first episode of Swift’s The End of an Era docuseries.

Footage showed Swift speaking on the phone to Kelce on two occasions.

They said “I love you,” and Swift spoke about how much their calls help her as she performs.

Taylor Swift’s The End of an Era docuseries hasn’t featured Travis Kelce on camera yet, but he made a meaningful appearance over the phone in the first episode.

Swift began filming the series in August 2024 during the London shows of her Eras Tour. At the time, Kelce had already started training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs after making his stage debut with her in London that June and attending two of her Amsterdam concerts in July. He couldn’t attend her August 15 London concert, which was her first show after canceling her Vienna tour stop due to terrorist threats. During one of her car rides, Swift got a call from Kelce and answered enthusiastically. “Baby!” she said.

During their conversation, Swift compared their careers, quipping that Kelce answers to Chiefs coach Andy Reid, and “I have my mom, [Andrea Swift].” The couple told each other “I love you,” with Swift telling Kelce that his calls truly heal her: “Some people get a vitamin drip; I get this.”

As they spoke about her London concert, Kelce told her, “I want to be there,” and Swift teasingly lamented his NFL commitments getting in the way.

They talked again immediately after her concert, which Swift had been nervous about. Once she got into her car, she called him to tell him the performance had gone so well and that the crowd’s positivity was exactly what she needed to lift her spirits and get back into the rhythm of touring.

The singer also tucked a subtle Easter egg into the docuseries to honor her partner, wearing a Kansas City Chiefs top in rehearsal footage during the first episode.

In the trailer for the series, Swift’s phone call with Kelce was shown, along with a rehearsal clip from his June Eras Tour appearance in London. They were filmed backstage as well, though the date of that sighting isn’t clear. Fans did spot a crew filming Swift and Kelce after her Indianapolis concert in November 2024, making that night a possibility.

On Aug. 15, 2024—the same day as Swift’s London concert—a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how the couple maintained their romance during periods apart for work.

They were thriving as a pair, the insider said: “Their connection is unlike anything that they’ve ever experienced before.”

The source added, “Taylor and Travis always prioritize each other even when they are physically apart. They are still in constant communication, texting and FaceTiming each other.”
