Taylor Swift reached into her purse at a critical moment during Saturday's NBA Eastern Conference finals... not for her phone, but for a stick of gum.
The pop star was captured on the ESPN broadcast handing the gum to her fiancé, Travis Kelce, with just over eight minutes left in the first quarter of Cleveland's Game 3 matchup against the New York Knicks at Rocket Arena. The moment, small as it was, sent fans into a frenzy online.
"The way she casually pulled a stick of gum out of her purse and gave it to him," wrote one user, which racked up more than 16,000 views within minutes of posting. The news follows Prince William's coy response to Taylor Swift's wedding invite being revealed.

Another penned, "Extra the spearmint one prob," one user guessed. Another noted the silver packaging visible in the footage, describing it as "the usual generic shape."
"It will sell out ASAP," one commenter predicted. Another simply replied, "exactly lol."
"It's like so normal? Which is weird, but shouldn't be, lol," wrote another. A user named Emi called it a "top tier wife move." Swift and Kelce, who have been a couple since 2023 and are set to wed this summer, traveled to Cleveland a day after a Friday night out in New York City.
The Cavaliers, Kelce's hometown team, were hosting the Knicks in a pivotal Game 3, with Cleveland trailing in the series.

At halftime, the Knicks led 60-54, with OG Anunoby posting 13 points and James Harden contributing 14 for Cleveland.
Kelce, wearing a backwards red cap and a denim shirt, sat courtside alongside Swift as cameras found the couple repeatedly throughout the broadcast.

The appearance marked another chapter in their now well-documented run as one of sports' most-watched couples, having previously attended the 2024 ALCS, the U.S. Open, and a college football opener together.
The courtside appearance came one day after Swift's longtime friend Jack Antonoff danced around questions about the couple's rumored summer wedding during a Friday appearance on Today.
Co-anchor Craig Melvin tried to coax details out of the 42-year-old music producer by asking whether he had plans to attend "any big weddings" this summer.
"I hope. Yeah, I hope so, man," Antonoff replied with a smile, before quickly shutting down any follow-up.
"Oh, no, no, no," he said when Melvin pressed for specifics, pivoting instead to his own domestic bliss. "Yeah, I love being married, man. I'm happy you love it too."
Melvin laughed. "That's all you're gonna give me, huh?"
"Did we just have a moment?" Antonoff replied with a smirk.
Antonoff, who also performed with his band Bleachers on the show, including the track "Dirty Wedding Dress," inspired by his marriage to actress Margaret Qualley, has been one of Swift's closest creative partners for more than a decade, collaborating on albums including 1989 and much of her later catalog.
